Circulation Desk: Reserve Textbooks

How to Look for Reserve Textbooks

1. Find the book you're looking for using OneSearch! Type in the title of the book into the search bar then click "Search"

2. On the left-hand side of the results page, click "Availability" then over "Held by Library" and check the box that appears next to it.

3. Next, click on the "Apply Filters" button on the bottom of the screen.

4. Look for the book title under the new search results.

Note: If you can’t find the book you’re looking for, please email Circulation staff at fhlibrary@fhda.edu because we may be able to purchase it for you to borrow.

Additional Information

We have textbooks, Chromebooks, graphing calculators, and scientific calculators that are available for checkout for the whole quarter!

Materials can be checked out as early as finals week in the previous term!

Holds cannot be placed on reserve materials to abide by our first come, first serve policy. If we do not have the textbook that is required for your class, we will look into acquiring the book so that you can check it out for the full quarter. If the book you are looking for is available at our bookstore and is not an access code or does not have an access code attached to it, we may be able to purchase it.

Please note that items checked out for the full term are due no later than the last day of the term they were checked out in. They also cannot be renewed online and are required to be renewed or returned in-person. Reserve materials not returned after 7 days after the due date will be considered lost.

For checking out any materials, all you need is your OwlCard or your student ID number and a valid form of picture ID.
