Instructions for requesting Library materials for pick-up.

Introduction

Materials Requesting Policies have changed for Fall 2024

Important Note: Due to staffing constraints, only laptops, tablets, and calculators may be requested for Fall quarter.
All other materials will be first come, first served.

 

Library Hours for Fall Quarter 2024, September 23 to December 13

Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Closed Fridays, Weekends, and District Holidays

Closed December 14 - January 5

 

 

Important Information for Loans and Online Requests:

  • Online requesting for laptops, tablets and calculators opens Sunday, September 22.
  • Textbooks may be checked out in person on a first come, first served basis starting Monday, September 23.
  • The Library will process online requests within one business day if the item is available and not checked out or on hold for another person. The wait time for materials that are not currently available will vary.
  • If the item you need says it is on hold already, place your request anyway. There is a chance that the person who originally requested it will not pick it up, and you may still be able to get it.
  • When your request is processed, you will receive an email notification that your item is available for pickup. 
    • Items can be held for one business day. For example, if you receive your notification on Monday, the item can be picked up during open hours Monday or Tuesday.
    • If you need more time to pick up your items, contact us via email at dalibraryhelpdesk@fhda.edu, or send us a note via the chat box at deanza.edu/library. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • All students who check out laptops or tablets must sign a Technology Borrower Agreement. We will give you the form when you come to collect your item, or you can print the PDF from the link below, fill it out, and bring it with you.

To request laptops, tablets, or calculators, use the links below to take a shortcut to the catalog record. Follow the instructions below to complete your request:

Step-by-Step Requesting Instructions:

 1.Under "Get It" in the item record, you will see a yellow banner with a Sign In link. Click the link.

 2. Select "Students, Faculty and Staff" in the next box.

3. Use your MyPortal information to log in.

4. Once logged in you will be taken back to the item record automatically, and you will see a "Request" link under "Get It".

5. Click the Request link, then click "Send Request".

6. You will see a green banner telling you that your request was successful:

7. The Library will send you an email when your item is ready to pick up.
