Citation Style & Level

Citation style

When creating a new project, NoodleTools supports three different citation format styles.

  1. MLA
  2. APA
  3. Chicago/Turabian

Depending on your course the correct citation format will be different. Citation formats are automatically updated when new versions are released.

In this guide's example I chose MLA.

Citation level

Citation level dictates how complex the citations can be. This ranges from the Starter's 6 data facets to Advanced's 70 facets. We recommend Starter or Junior. Most classes at De Anza will accept Starter level citations.

An example of the Starter citation level is:

The 6 data facets are:

  1. Author and/or contributor name
  2. Article title
  3. Publication name (Magazine)
  4. Volume & issue numbers
  5. Date of publishing
  6. Pages cited (not shown here)
