Although the library building is open for limited hours, our reference services and extensive collection of digital resources are available online 24/7, and the librarians are on duty to assist you and your students. This guide was created for the the transition to remote instruction in March 2020, and provides tips to ensure that course materials are available for your students and provide any library instruction they may need.

Library hours for Winter Quarter 2022 are:

Foothill Library Building Hours:
  • Mon - Thurs 9am-5pm
Sunnyvale Library Hours:
  • Closed Winter Quarter
  • A secure drop box is located outside the north end of our Sunnyvale Center building at 1070 Innovation Way. Look for book drop signage near the parking lot with the ambulance nearby.

New Reading List Tool in Canvas

In Summer 2020, the Library embedded a new tool in Canvas called “Reading List.” It allows faculty to create reading lists for students to view without leaving their Canvas course. Students will be able to see in real time how many copies of a required textbook the library has and directly access class readings available in our library databases, links to websites, and instructor-provided digital documents. To learn more about Reading Lists in Canvas, please consult the following resources:
